Social Media Management Tools Pricing: Compare the Full Cost
Compare social media software costs using the same brands, channels, teammates and review needs. Includes current Postfliq plan limits and a buying worksheet.
By Postfliq team ·
Social media management tools use different billing units: channels, profiles, social sets, brands, workspaces and users. A headline monthly price is only the beginning of a comparison. Price the same client roster and workflow in each tool before deciding what is affordable.
Updated October 10, 2026. This guide is published by Postfliq. It does not establish that Postfliq is the cheapest option for every buyer. Competitor prices, discounts and package definitions can change; verify the linked vendor plans for your exact requirements.
Postfliq's monthly plans at this update
| Plan | Monthly USD | Brands | Connected channels | Scheduled posts per month | Collaboration and analytics |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 2 | 15 | Start with the calendar, library and publishing workflow |
| Starter | $9.99 | 2 | 6 | 300 | Analytics; no invited team seats or Pro review links |
| Pro | $19.99 | 10 | 30 | Unlimited | Analytics, review links, category queues, RSS and up to 3 invited teammates |
Prices are before any applicable tax and are billed monthly. Scheduled posts count once per destination channel: sending one post to three channels uses three. Brand and channel allowances are shared limits, so ten brands with three channels each use all thirty Pro channels. The owner is separate from the invited teammate allowance. Check the live pricing page, which reads current plans from Postfliq's billing API.
Starter includes 100 AI text generations and 10 AI images per month; Pro includes 500 and 50 respectively. Free does not include AI generation. Do not choose a higher tier for a feature you will not use, and do not treat an included AI quota as a substitute for editorial review.
Build an equivalent comparison basket
| Requirement | Example to replace with your own |
|---|---|
| Client brands | 5 |
| Connected channels | 20, with each account type listed |
| Internal users | Owner plus 2 teammates |
| Client reviewers | One contact per client |
| Review rules | Feedback links, or mandatory approval if required |
| Reports | Required metrics, export format and any branding needs |
| Billing basis | Monthly payment with the same tax treatment |
For each shortlisted product, record the plan that satisfies the entire sheet. Add mandatory account, user or reporting charges and identify optional costs separately. If the total changes when you add the next client, calculate that second scenario too.
Check the pricing unit and collaboration tier
- Buffer: verify the channel total, team features and volume discount rather than multiplying a single-channel headline price.
- Publer: check the relevant account and member allowances alongside workspace organization.
- Metricool: compare the brand allowance and the tier required for team and client management.
- Planable: include the needed workspace and approval options, plus any separate analytics or inbox package.
- Pallyy: identify what a social set contains and whether it matches the channels each client needs.
These checks identify what to price; they are not a claim that the products provide equivalent capabilities. For a wider shortlist, see the client-work tool comparison.
Include operating effort in the decision
A subscription price does not include your time chasing approvals, repairing media, reconnecting accounts or assembling a report. Test one representative client cycle and record the effort it takes. Avoid converting a vendor's time-saving statement into your own savings forecast without observing your workflow.
Also verify destinations and formats before paying. Postfliq's Threads and LinkedIn company-page publishing remain under verification, and metrics vary by connection. An inexpensive plan is not useful if it cannot complete the client's necessary work.
Choose a pilot, then review the evidence
Start with one brand and a week's content. Confirm account connections, obtain feedback, verify publication and inspect the report data. Then decide whether the complete cost and process fit your business. Use the free calendar template to keep that pilot concrete.
